FAQ’s

When and where?
The 4th Annual Sumo Run Ireland 5km in aid of Purple House Cancer Support takes place on Sunday 22nd April 2018 at 12 noon in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin. (use College Road entrance)
Event check-in takes place from 10.30am to 11.45am.
Included in your entry fee is an inflatable sumo suit that is battery operated.  When you arrive at the event, you will be directed to the ‘Inflation Zone’ where you will receive your Sumo Suit and will be shown how to inflate it.
The 5km run will take place on a flat surface with a mix of both grass and concrete underfoot.
After the 5km run, your Sumo Suit is yours to keep and take home!
Are the suits heavy?
No, they are very light! Made from nylon. They inflate using a small inbuilt fan, which is powered by a small battery pack. The suit is yours to keep!
Do I have to run the full 5km?
No, the emphasis is on FUN, taking part and supporting a fantastic charity, Purple House Cancer Support!  You can run or walk as little or as much as you like!
Can children Enter?
The Sumo suits are only suitable for children aged 7 years & over. But we will have fun for all the family on the day.
 
Can we register as a group?
Yes, we encourage you to take part with your family, friends or work colleagues! We have a special discount rate of €144 for Teams of Four.
Do I have to raise sponsorship?
Yes please, the aim of Sumo Run Ireland is to raise funds to support families affected by Cancer, through the work of Purple House Cancer Support.
Our event partners, iDonate.ie, have made it easy for everyone to set up their own sponsorship page during the registration process, you will be directed from your email to your own sponsorship page after successful registration. Thank you
